Happy Birthday Bevy Smith!

I'd like to send a VERY VERY VERY special HAPPY BIRTHDAY shout-out to one of the most resoundingly amazing women I know . . . Bevy Smith!

If you recall, Bevy Smith was one of Social Science's first "Socialites of the Week." In that post, I sung her praises and let you know what made her the major force in society and entertainment that she has become.

The creator of "Dinner With Bevy", Bevy Smith is my muse and my friend. Darling, I salute you and wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

(Bevy, I hope you like your cake! It was inspired by TT's "PD". If you know me, I know you and you know what I mean!)

Social Sipping: Introducing Absolut GLIMMER!

ABSOLUT debuts “ABSOLUT GLIMMER” – a limited EDITION bottle with a crystal shape.

After all the successful seasonal gift packs in recent years, ABSOLUT VODKA is now tweaking its design story with the launch of ABSOLUT GLIMMER. Made in crystal pattern-shaped glass, this limited edition bottle is designed to make the present exceptional. ABSOLUT GLIMMER is a perfect gift and collector’s item, which elevates and brings energy to any party or night out. More than 100 markets will launch ABSOLUT GLIMMER during the fall.

“Our latest holiday initiatives, ABSOLUT DISCO, ABSOLUT MASQUERADE and ABSOLUT ROCK EDITION, were highly appreciated by customers around the world. This time we wanted to create something truly different. For the first time ever, we challenged the bottle shape by modifying the finish of the glass. ABSOLUT GLIMMER is a glimmering version of our iconic bottle, re-designed to dazzle people in any place and happening where it is present”, says Anna Malmhake, Vice President, Global Marketing.

ABSOLUT GLIMMER is a stylish design concept that challenges the norm of the traditional gift pack. With its glimmering design and crystallic facets, it is a definite eye-catcher. It does not only look stunning. By its mere presence, ABSOLUT GLIMMER inspires people to dress up, shine and always look for those small but precious indulgences.

“With ABSOLUT GLIMMER, we want to encourage people to make the present exceptional. The idea that any moment anywhere can turn out to be a memory for life – bringing inspiration and excitement to any event – is what this bottle is all about”, Anna Malmhake says.

Visit absolut.com/glimmer for a digital store locator that helps you find your nearest ABSOLUT GLIMMER retailer.

Puttin' on the Ritz: Kanye West

I always say, "If you've got it, flaunt it." Rapper, entertainer, artist, designer, troublemaker Kanye West has no problem doing just that! On Monday night, West received the "Stylemaker of the Year" award from the Accessories Council. The council president, Karen Giberson, stated, "Kanye West is one of the most influential men in pop culture - from music to fashion. His personal style, whether on stage, in his videos or in his leisure time, pushes the envelope and continues to inspire both designers and shoppers."

You might categorize Kanye as a "piece of work", but he always looks great kicking up dust!

Congrats 'Ye!

Halloween 2010 Recap: Big Kidz Foundation "True Blood" Costume Party

Happy Monday Scientists! If any of you are like me, you are still trying to remove makeup, nail polish, glitter and cob webs from you, your house and your car seats! This year Halloween fell on a weekend and people partied to no end!

My personal highlight of the weekend was attending Big Boi's annual charity costume party. Big Boi, 1/2 of Atlanta's own "Outkast", always throws an exciting party in the name of philanthropy. This year Stankonia, the legendary recording studio, was transformed into a Vampire Lair complete with seductive go-go dancers, custom Ciroc cocktails, a chef's cooking station, a pulsating soundtrack, and an array of Atlanta's most bewitching guests.

The exciting new "OMG Photo Booth" and www.exclusiveaccess.net were on hand to document the debauchery. Special shouts out to Jessica Manning of A-List Media and Ciroc for a GREAT time!

Check out a few photos of my friends and I. Enjoy!
