I love Musicals, too!

So, I figured I might as well pay homage to black music "squared"! In black musicals, I have witnessed some of the most gut-wrenching and beautiful songs be brought to live with lights and action. Here, I have featured photos from my top five black Broadway musicals, "The Color Purple", "Carmen Jones", "The Wiz", "Ain't Misbehavin'" and "Dreamgirls". PLEASE research and attempt to acquaint yourself if you aren't already. Black Broadway is alive and well!

I Love Music!

As "Black Music Month" comes to an end, I'd like to say farewell to the month of tribute by acknowledging my favorite five albums of all time. I must admit that I am using "Of All Time" loosely because my favorites change all the time! Hey, I like good music! So, as of today, as of now, here are my favs!

End your day by listening to some good music. Try my favorites out if you aren't familiar. You'll be glad you did!

Social Status: Socialites of the Week

I'm back with the reader's favorite section of the week! This is the second installation this week, but you can never get too much of a good thing.

The next set of socialites in the spotlight are a continuation of people that I party with. So with no further delay, meet Amanda Davisson and Aric Rosenburg.

Amanda Davisson aka "Panda" is the epitome of a girl that wants to have fun! The quintessential entertainer, Panda sings and dances her way around cities and stages worldwide. Panda is legendary for her infamous sense of style, including edgy hairstyle after hairstyle. Panda can always be found holding shop in exclusive VIP parties and can connect the dots with anyone in Atlanta's nightlife scene! Here's to Panda, whether high tops, low tops or no tops! (Only she will understand that!)

Aric Rosenburg is one FLY GUY. Since our initial meeting, Aric has solidified himself as an expert and connoisseur of all things luxe and exciting. A self-proclaimed music junkie and sneaker head, Aric owns the most impressive collection of vinyl and limited edition sneakers I've ever seen! Shoe enthusiasts won't have to wait long for a piece of Aric's love for sneakers, as he will be introducing a new sneaker boutique to Buckhead this Fall.

Take my advice and get to know these two! Your social life will be glad you did. Follow them on twitter @misspandabear and @aricrsly.

Cheers!

Farewell to the Fiesta - Project Highlights

Farewell to the Fiesta!

A few months ago, I signed on to a project that presented the marketing opportunity of a lifetime, Mission 2.0 of the Ford Fiesta Movement. Accepting the challenge as a Ford Fiesta Agent involved me, along with individuals from a total of 20 cities nationwide, introducing the 2011 Fiesta to everyday consumers, tastemakers and influencers locally in an effort to bring the European vehicle into the states with a bang!

The five month project has now come to an end, but it was indeed a blast. In an attempt to introduce the vehicle in non-traditional mediums to the city, Team ATL designed experiences at the next and newest venues, restaurants and high-profile events to serve as meet and greets.

By now, in addition to the initiatives produced by Fiesta agents, commercials and advertisements are everywhere for the vehicle and I must say, the car is pretty cool. Boasting 40 MPG, ambient lighting, SYNC and a bevy of other amenities, the Fiesta is proof that big things come in small packages.

Visit your local Ford dealership to become more acquainted with the 2011 Ford Fiesta. Also, log on www.fiestamovement.com to chronicle the adventures of the Fiesta Movement 2.0.

Socially Sweet: Let Them Eat Cake!

The summer season is synonymous with spectacles. From 4th of July fireworks to wild weekend getaways, surprises and celebrations are around every corner. Amidst long days and warm nights, there's still one summer tradition that monopolizes the rest - WEDDINGS!

As I personally prepare to attend and coordinate wedding ceremonies, simultaneously, I've decided to let you in on one of the most exciting parts of wedding planning, choosing the cake! Choosing the cake is often more important than the venue, the dress or even the bride or groom!

Take a look at five of my top wedding cake choices from my preferred cake vendor, Atlanta's Highland Bakery. If you have exquisite taste in cakes and a budget to match, call Karen at HB and tell her I sent you!

You may now kiss the cake!

Snapshots: Darling Nicki!

Everyone that knows me knows how much I love Nicki Minaj, unabashedly. I visited nicki-minaj.net and found some GREAT new promo pics. I believe in giving credit where credit is due, and Nicki always finds a way to entertain me. In the spirit of a classic fairytale, Nicki channels Alice in a "Wonderland" themed shot. Enjoy! (And don't think too hard about it. It's entertainment!)
