Presidential Suite, Please!

Presidential palaces are usually one of the city's most impressive aesthetic highlights for both citizens and tourists alike. In the U.S., because of its grandeur and picturesque landscaping, the White House attracts over 10 million tourists each year. In addition to being being beautiful, powerhouse institutions, most of these live-in monuments serve as the backdrop for some of their country's most memorable historic events.

Whether acting as the seat of government, the head of state's home or, in some cases, as both, presidential palaces represent a stunning melange of architectural styles, from Baroque to neoclassical to merely modern.

Featured above are the Social Science top five of presidential digs.
